This is not a collection of records — it is a guide to where they are available online.

Italian records have been digitized by archives, parishes, genealogical societies, and independent researchers across many different websites. This directory brings those resources together in one place, organized by region, province, and municipality, with direct links to the original sources.

What You’ll Find

Links to websites containing civil and parish records, censuses, cadastral records, military records, family registers, and judicial documents.

We do not host the records ourselves. Each entry directs you to the website where the digitized records are available, including State Archives, FamilySearch, Geneanet, parish websites, and other genealogy projects.

How to Search

Browse by region, province, and municipality, or enter the municipality name directly in the search box.

Important Information

Some Italian archives restrict access from outside Italy. If a link does not open, it may be due to this limitation. Known cases are marked with 🔒 VPN.

If a municipality is not listed, records may not yet be digitized or we may not have located them yet. If you know of a missing resource, please let us know.
