• Di Naro, very infrequent, appears in the provinces of Agrigento and Caltanissetta.

• Dinaro, also rare, is characteristic of the provinces of Catania and, above all, of Syracuse.

These variations reflect how the prefixes De or Di functioned as toponymic or family indicators, and how dialectal evolution and parish registers gave rise to different spellings within the same onomastic root.
